UW Chado classes

The living art of Chado brings together many aspects of traditional and
contemporary Japanese culture guided by the ethical-aesthetic of wabi
expressed in the values of modesty, restraint, and sincerity in accord with
asymmetry, austerity and rusticity. The Way of Tea uses the medium of
preparing and drinking tea as a vehicle to integrate body, mind and spirit
to provide a pattern for living that is fresh and vital.
